Brochures and Folders. Printed paper advertisement for business, events, hotels, products, services, etc. They are usually printed on a A4 (210x297mm) or A3 (420x297mm) paper (in europe). A scandinavian or spanish brochure is often made in 4-8-12 pages (folded A3) and stapled. Almost like a magazine but without a cover sheet.
Folders (leaflets, pamphlets). Single sheet, single or double sided print
and folded. For direct mail, folder racks or stands.
A folder is often made of higher quality gloss paper and in 4 colors than a Flyer (handbill) that could be anything from computer printed to offset and in 1 to 4 colors. Both can be folded in many ways. Most common is the Z and C fold that gives 6 "pages" to use.
